In the British Vogue <\/a>1939 issue, product designer Gilbert Rhode was asked what people in the 21st century would be wearing. He had NUMEROUS thoughts. According to Gilbert, in year 2020 we would have NO buttons, pockets, collars or ties. Men will have revolted against shaving. “His hat will be an antenna, snatching radio out of the ether. His socks\u2014disposable<\/em>.” Rhode declared. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
