Today we talk about the reasons behind some repairs \u2014 and how a shade user might benefit, in the end.
\nThere are a couple different, yet related, items to consider. The first is all that \u201cstuff\u201d bundled under the term \u201cSpecs\u201d. Specifications are the sizes, cloth-type, manufacturing standards that make your cellular shade operate to its best and fullest capacity.<\/p>\n
Will we build you an out-of-spec shade? Sometimes. While there are optimum parameters, there are also these little grey-areas at either end (slightly too small\/slightly too large). With user care, your product will function, though not to the stringent standards our Production Team requires. Out-of-Spec shades may encounter a few more \u201cproblems\u201d than anyone \u2014 in Production or those in the home \u2014 would like. In those instances, we trust we point out the pitfalls in a clear manner.<\/p>\n
Even shades \u201cbuilt to spec\u201d can exhibit problems, and this is where a careful reading of the operating instructions will come in handy!<\/p>\n
\nStandard Shades & Top Down\/Bottom Up Shades<\/strong>
\nThe lift cords raise\/lower the shade. Pull the cord with a smooth, gentle force. To extend cord life, operate the cord CLOSE to the fabric, as opposed to out, at a sharp angle.
\nTo release, pull the cord slightly towards the center of the shade.
\nAlways \u201cengage\u201d the clutch, even if the shade is sitting on the sill.<\/p>\n
