Bow windows are the curvy cousins of bay windows! If you're looking to treat your bow windows, the procedure is right in line with our regular window shade treatment process.
How to Treat Bow Windows
- Decide if you want one large window shade to go straight across the window frame, or an individual shade for each section. Measure the width at the top, middle, and bottom, and then measure the length at the left, middle, and right. Circle the narrowest width and the longest length.
- Next, decide on a fabric! Light filtering fabric is great for kitchens, living rooms, and bathrooms, while blackout fabric is swell for bedrooms or media rooms.
- Finally, select your lift type. If you're covering the whole window opening in one shade, the Smoothy cord loop is your best bet. For individual shades, standard or cordless will do! For windows that face the street or neighbors, top down/bottom up is a smart option.
